Titus (Charles) is born in Roxbury.

(ca.) Charlie Titus grows up in the Columbia Point housing development, graduates from Boston Technical High School and St. Michael’s College, and becomes athletic director at the University of Massachusetts Boston in 1974. He also serves as head basketball coach from 1974 to 2015, except for the 2004-2005 season when his son, Andre, serves as coach. Titus He retires as athletic director in June 2020.
